Welcome to Tulsa MET Junior High & High School! I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Valarie Farrow and I am the principal of this amazing school! I have been in education since 1991 serving several smaller districts across northeastern Oklahoma, prior to landing in the Tulsa Public School district in 2004. My first position in Tulsa Public Schools was as a physical education teacher at Hale High School. After two years as a teacher (and upon completion of my administrative degree) I became an attendance dean at Hale. In 2008, I became the assistant principal at Carver Middle School. After eight and a half years at Carver, I transferred to Rogers Junior High & High School as an assistant principal for the next two years. In 2017, I had a wonderful opportunity to work in the Design and Innovation Lab in Tulsa Public Schools, during the inception of reimaging what high school should look and feel like for today’s students. When the principal position came open here at Tulsa MET, I was fortunate enough to be hired to work with a wonderful faculty, staff, and students! I look forward to serving the Tulsa MET family, as we utilize social-emotional learning skills, coupled with career/college/life skills for our students to be best prepared for their futures!
