Families are invited to attend the 2nd annual Parent Resource Center Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Parent Resource Center (525 E. 46th St. N.).
Families are invited to attend the 2nd annual Parent Resource Center Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Parent Resource Center (525 E. 46th St. N.). The Tulsa Public Schools Parent Resource Center is partnering with Birth Through Eight Strategy for Tulsa (BEST), HealthySteps, and ConnectFirst to help students and families prepare for the new school year.
School-aged children will receive back-to-school supplies and supports free of charge, including:
- Backpacks with school supplies;
- Toiletries; and
- Uniforms.
Families and students can also:
- Meet with teachers and staff from neighborhood schools;
- Visit with community organizations;
- Get information about the coming school year;
- Immunizations required for school*; and
- Enjoy treats from food trucks and Josh’s Sno Shack.
**The Oklahoma State Department of Health requires certain vaccinations for incoming pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and 7th grade students. Families can receive their back to school immunizations by signing up at www.TulsaSchools.org/PRCbash.
The Back to School Bash is free and open to families of children ages three to 18. An adult must accompany students. Attendees will be entered for door prizes including gift cards and grand prize drawings for $50 and $100.
The Parent Resource Center provides continuous and meaningful services, educational opportunities, and resources to help families support their child’s academic success. The Parent Resource Center is located in the former Alcott building located at 525 E. 46th St. N. (next to North Star Academy).
